Merry christmas!

Merry christmas everyone! Had an awesome time at the Christmas party this year, I dressed up as Spider-Man there were jugglers, and performers, a dj and a fireworks display, it was an awesome night.  Have a very merry christmas, and a happy new year, can't wait to see you all next year.

Historic village Tauranga

I went to the Tauranga Historic Village. I did heaps, sat in the stagecoach, drove an old ford train, found a hut in the bush, visited the chapel, the men's shed and saw a really cool model train set

Sensory session

Had an awesome time in the sensory room today, we played lots of summer style music, touched the plasma ball, and spelt words with the puzzle letters 

Construction

I've been doing construction in sensory.  It's lots of fun and cool to see the marble to all the way down to the bottom.

Running race

The other day at sports outting we had a running race and I WON!!

men's shed

I enjoyed looking around the men's shed to see what they were making and how.  They used lots of different tools to make things.

iPad time

I love checking out everyone else's blogs and seeing what they've been up to and playing games on the iPad .

Firestation

We visited the Tauranga Firestation to deliver our clay gift of a Bedford Firetruck.The crew had visited us and given us an awesome talk about their work.

Greerton Hobby Shop

In guys session we walked into town to visit our local hobby shop.  They have lots to look at.  The shop even has models that we can build!

Cricket match

Today we had a cricket match with Te Puke.  It was cool to see all my friends from Te Pukez and play cricket with them

Making a cave

Today I had sensory room. I made a cave and used the torch inside my cave

Merivale community garden

Once a week we go help out at the Merivale Community Garden.  We plant some plant in the garden, we remember to water them, and some weeding. I really like going to the garden.  We get to bring back some of the veges we grow and use them in cooking

Tri studio torment

Last week some of us went out to the Te puke centre to compete in a Tri studio torment we had to shoot the most hoops we didn't win but we had an awesome time visiting all our friends out at Te Puke.

Costable Fairburn came to visit!

We had a community constable come visit us to talk to us about the important role that the police play in our community. their uniform was very heavy!

Succulent garden

I had great fun helping to build the latest coil pot......it's going to be a big one !!

80 disco

On Friday we had an 80s disco. I had a dance, I had a sausage, I had a good time.

Tying shoelaces

I've been learning to tie shoelaces in the sensory room, pretty cool when they all glow

At sports outing we have been practising soccer skills

Woodwork skills

I have been enjoying woodwork. I finished my own photo frame and am now making a new project which I will update u on.

Sensory room

Today we experimented with play dough and pebbles it was fun I liked squishing the play dough and feeling the pebbles inside

The Steamers at Bayfair

For our Friday outing we went to Bayfair to buy sports equipment. The Steamers Rugby team was there giving out some rugby tips so being a rugby fan I stopped and watched them for a while. What a awesome outing!

Today in photography we did some photo editing on the iPad I really enjoyed all the special effects!

Back at work

I am really happy to be back at work. I have been doing my emails this morning, checking the weather, and updating our weather chart. Today it is going to be cloudy with some sun. Have a great weekend.

Historic Pa Site in Tauranga

We visited the Historic Trust and learnt about the historic places in Tauranga including a Pa site which is being restored. I'm looking forward to visiting the Pa site next week,

Guys group lunch

Last week all the guys got to go down to the tauranga citz club and have a roast lunch and dessert my favourite part was the pavlova and cheesecake we had for dessert!!

More Big Art

I am still working on my big masterpiece!! I painted the sky with a mix of blue and green,then I added white streaks for the clouds.

Thai chi

Every second week for sports outting we have Thai chi I am really enjoying it I have mastered the Thai chi walk!

Art

Today I continued with my big painting of the sea view.I masked off an area and painted my tree using a sponge to put on the colours.This is still a work in progress....keep watching!!

Ten Pin

We went to Ten Pin today. I had a awesome game and got a few spears!

Pottery

Today I joined pottery.I made lots of clay fish.I rolled the clay and used a cutter.It was fun doing this work!

Guys group

In guys group we are looking at camping. We decided to have a go at putting up a tent and what and awesome job we did!!

Big Art

Today I started a painting....it is really big! It will be of the sea and a Ponga Tree.It will take me a while to finish but I really enjoy this,follow my progress here!

In computers I work hard....

In computers I read emails and reply to them. I am working hard at my reading and typing technique at the moment.

Weatherman

The weather report for today, Monday 13th may

S.P.C.A

This morning we went to the S.P.C.A and donated some Dog and Cat food. We talked to the Birds and saw the Cats and Puppies that are going to be adopted. It was a good morning.

Clay fish

I painted my clay fish in pottery....I chose all the colours and really enjoyed decorating it...we are going to hang it up on the wall at Arohanui for everyone to see.

Mossop's Honey

Today for our outing we went to Mossop's honey shop. They had a big indoor hive full of bee's!!! I tasted the chocolate honey and smelt and tried on some honey cream. I really enjoyed this outing.

Donut factory

Today we went to the Donut Factory in Mt Maunganui. The owner told us about how the donuts are made and where they go. They make a different type of donut daily and today's were large cinnamon ones. The owner was very kind and gave us all one to try so if you are around that way... The donuts there are Yum!!!

Out and about

What an awesome outting we had to mitre 10 last week so many things to look at we picked some very colourful plants to put into our garden at Wilrose. Enjoyed looking at the fishing lines and having a wee sit down at the picnic tables.:)

My latest painting

Yesterday I painted this great piece of Art. I had a picture out of a magazine of the waves and this is what I painted! My painting is so great it has been hung up upstairs in Gaye's office. Today I am going out to the Avalon art exhibition to check out some of their paintings. have a great weekend everyone :-)

Drama production

Yesterday we had our drama production at 17th ave village the production was Greece lightning and I played the part of Danny!

Hamilton Zoo

Yesterday we went to the Hamilton Zoo. I really enjoyed looking at all the animals and watching the monkeys play. I had a chat with a Morepork, and he came close to me and made noises. it was a really cool day out.
